I was sold an entire new $650 Precision garage door opener. I am wondering if I was scammed. I had only built my garage one year ago in January, my garage door opener was essentially new. I had a power outage in Spokane, Wa and my garage door wasn’t opening. Scott said, “Green is Good and Red is Dead.” My genie garage door opener was flashing RED so he said “the motherboard was fried.” He explained that this part he did not stock in his van and would cost $450. He explained that my genie garage door opener doesn’t have a fuse system. He explained that I should’ve had it connected with a power surge protector. Scott never tried to check to see if the garage door opener worked. He never attempted to fix my genie door opener. The only time he put his hands on it was when he replaced it. Scott explained that the Precision garage door openers are guaranteed for life and did not have this defect problem as the Genie do and it would only cost me $650 and he had the part on him. Scott explained that he’d been working all that day replacing Genie garage door opener‘s that had had burned out motherboards after our power outage. WAS I SCAMMED by your tech? I don’t know anything about garage door opener’s so I put my TRUST in PRECISION and your employee. This request for my feedback says that I had a broken “garage door spring” and no product was sold. This is incorrect. If I was scammed by your employee, I hope you will work with me to resolve a fair resolution to this issue. Sincerely, David H
